Why Aquatics?
Water is the life force within us (we literally cry and sweat water!), and its role in the survival of all living species is undeniable. Yet, it’s rarely tapped into as an immersive learning tool. Water has unique and fascinating properties: it subverts expectations by making heavy objects buoyant, distorts perception through refraction, and literally shifts our centre of gravity.
Evolutionarily, we are drawn to water, and even the sound of it can lower blood pressure and lower the release of stress hormones.

By combining the therapeutic qualities of water with the benefits of exercise, my aqua-based workshops go beyond traditional land-based approaches. In my sessions, I use the water to create moments of discovery, teaching everyday concepts in fresh and memorable ways. Being a visual and practical person, I bring metaphors to life.
What does it mean to literally make waves? How do your waves impact others? What happens when you go with the flow, or resist it? And how does it feel to tread water, trying to keep your head above it?
Through these immersive experiences, attendees leave not only with tools for improving performance and wellbeing but also with a renewed connection to themselves, others, and the power of water.

Water Worries?
It is understandable that many might feel self-consciousness being in swimwear or might have a general dislike of water – whether due to sensory issues, previous negative experiences, or a simple preference for dry land. This can be daunting or a deal breaker for participation but …
- Water is optional – I also offer land-only programs.
- My program creates a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where everyone can feel at ease.
- We don’t just throw you into the deep end. You will receive a gradual introduction to the water.
- All water-based activities take place in shallow water. Therefore, you don’t need to know how to swim.
- I have access to temperature controlled pools, ranging from 27 to 32 degrees, depending on the program you’re requesting.
- All steps of the activities are explained in full prior to the day.
- Ultimately, this is an invitation to step outside of your comfort zone. It is an opportunity to build confidence and overcome barriers.
